“Even heroes need to survive adolescence.”
The legendary author of the Illiad and the Odyssey sums up this fun Greek mythological ride, Labors of an Epic Punk.
This Greek mythological tale stars The Prince of Ithaca, Telemachus aka Mac, the son of the legendary hero and King of Ithaca known as Odysseus and by the words of his school advisor, “The most aggressively Lonely person” in all of Greece. After a prank gone wrong (Or well in Mac’s case) Mac faces expulsion from Pieridian Academy but thanks to Asirites, his school advisor, Mac was given one last chance to remain in the school by proving he is the son of the heroic king.
However, the prince of Ithaca only has three months to prove to his school that he is his father’s son, which sends the young prince of Ithaca on an odyssey of his own and with his country and his mother on the line, Mac must use his cunning mind to succeed… and maybe accept little help from people he would rather do without.
Labors of an Epic Punk reads like a modern High School story set in mythological times with the humor, drama and even love all woven into a gallant tale that lovers of both Greek mythology and casual readers are sure to love.
Labors of an Epic Punk earns 4 Medusa heads out of rating of 5
